how to model a pipe in blender 2.72

how to model a pipe in blender

hi, this time we'll see how to create pipes, tubes, cords etc.

by pressing shift+A and go to curve and select bezier
now, with the bezier created we need to set some parameters,go to the right panel, click curve properties and under shape set fill to full, under geometry set depth as you like, i use  0.075 in depth
in resolution we can increase the resolution of the mesh but the higher the level the higher the polygon count if we want to convert the curve into mesh, now we have a pipe created

by pressing tab we go into edit mode and we can edit the pipe with the vertices, just right click in one point and use G or use the axis also we can extrude with E from one side to make it larger

we can convert the curve into mesh ,to do this select the pipe and press alt+C and click mesh from curve , now we can texture the pipes if we want ,i use cycles materials .
that's all, we have modeled the pipes ,
for this tutorial i used metal pack materials ,thanks to elbrujodelatribu http://www.blendswap.com/blends/view/69793
